Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB20048 for the furnishing of HVAC filters for use by the Facilities Management Department to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon, bids from the following:

B.E.S.T., Inc. $1,461.60
Kansas City, KS
Kansas City Air Filter Co. $1,812.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, he has recommended that award be made to B.E.S.T., Inc., of Kansas City, KS, for the reason that, it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
