Body
WHEREAS, the County desires to purchase industrial supplies and equipment, janitorial supplies and equipment, and lighting fixtures for use countywide; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the purchase from Grainger Industrial Supply of Kansas City (Jackson County), Missouri, in the estimated amount of $20,000.00, under an existing State of Missouri government contract, no. C103293001; and,

WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984 requires, that for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the purchase under the existing government contract be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contract to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are included in the current annual budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
