Body
WHEREAS, the County has previously leased space in the Courthouse on the Square in Independence to the Senior Citizens' Craft Shop Committee; and,
WHEREAS, the lease expired on December 31, 2000; and,
WHEREAS, the parties are desirous of entering into a new one-year lease effective January 1, 2001; and,
WHEREAS, the attached lease adequately incorporates these terms of the agreement between the parties; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed lease is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached lease with the Senior Citizens' Craft Shop Committee.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
