Body
WHEREAS, the County desires to purchase petroleum products for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments and Sheriff's Office; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the purchase from Heathwood Oil Co., Inc., of Kansas City, KS ($37,258.78), and Champion Brands, LLC, of Clinton, MO ($8,325.20), under an existing government contract of Mid-America Regional Council/Kansas City Regional Purchasing Cooperative; and,

WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984 requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the purchase under the existing government contract be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contracts, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Ja...
