Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB20046 for the furnishing of miscellaneous electrical supplies and tools for use countywide; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest and best bids thereon bids from the following:

ESTIMATED
VENDOR AWARD AMOUNT

Western Extralite Co. $36,000.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Rexel-Glasco $15,000.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO


and,

WHEREAS, a split award is recommended by the Facilities Management Department so that the Department will be able to order all of the items that may be required during the twelve-month term; and,

WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids and Department needs submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be made as a split award to Western Extralite of Kansas City, MO and Rexel-Glasco of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that these two companies have submitted the lowest and best bids; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
