AN ORDINANCE appropriating $120,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2000 General Fund to cover the cost of mowing of properties owned by the Land Trust of Jackson County.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13233, dated May 22, 2000, the Legislature did authorize an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kansas City to provide for mowing of properties owned by the Land Trust of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, the City's City Council on May 25, 2000, also approved this Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, under this Agreement, the County shall contract with mowing contractors to mow Land Trust properties, with the costs to be reimbursed by the City up to a maximum of $120,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund the mowing contracts, an appropriation is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation as an amendment to her 2000 recommended Jackson County budget; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:
