Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4863, dated July 11, 2016, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of the United States Office of National Drug Control Policy, High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program grant in the amount of $75,000.00, to provide funding for undercover operations by detectives working within the Drug Task Force; and,
WHEREAS, the grant was awarded for the period of January 1, 2016, through December 31, 2017; and,
WHEREAS, it is desired to reallocate a portion of grant funds for the lease of vehicles for use in undercover operations, using an existing term and supply contract; and,
WHEREAS, the Office of National Drug Control Policy has approved this reallocation request; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary in order to place the grant funds in the proper spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 2017 Grant Fund:
