A RESOLUTION awarding a term and supply contract on Bid No. 73-99 for the furnishing of pipe and plumbing related supplies for use by various county departments to American Pipe & Supply Co., Inc., of Kansas City, MO ($14,000.00), Pro Fitting, Inc., of Kansas City, MO ($14,000.00), and Neenan Company of Kansas City, MO ($14,000.00), to provide for countywide needs for the upcoming one-year period, in the estimated aggregate amount of $42,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 73-99 for the furnishing of pipe and plumbing related supplies for use by various county departments; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided among the responding bidders, whose bids were all very close, so as to best ensure the availability of a wide variety of items for the using departments; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the estimated awards to the following vendors:

therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
