WHEREAS, in the summer of 1982, Daniel Thomas Tarwater, III and Paula Sue Dumit met; and,
WHEREAS, after years of seeing one another and on Paula's birthday, April 8, 1990, Dan asked Paula to marry him in a romantic setting in front of the J. C. Nichols Fountain on the Country Club Plaza; and,
WHEREAS, on the beautiful spring day of May 11, 1991, Dan and Paula professed their love for each other and became husband and wife at St. Thomas More Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS, Dan and Paula's first little angel, Abby Sue Tarwater, came into this world on June 17, 1997; and,
WHEREAS, Dan and Paula's second little angel, Daniel Tarwater, IV, came into this world on October 30, 1998; and,
WHEREAS, on March 14, 2001, at 4:47 a.m., Dan and Paula's third little angel was born weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and measuring 21 inches in length; and,
WHEREAS, the Tarwater family live in South Kansas City, Missouri; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that we, the members of the Jackson County Legislature, extend sincere congratulations to Dan and Paula on the birth of Mitch David, the newest addition to their family, and wish for them a wonderful life together.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
