Body
WHEREAS, the County recognizes its statutory obligations to the poor under Sections 205.580 et seq. and 205.210 et seq., RSMo; and,
WHEREAS, the County and The Children's Mercy Hospital desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, whereby the Hospital will provide medical and hospital services to indigent county residents; and,
WHEREAS, the cost to the County under this agreement is $875,000.00, to be paid in quarterly installments of $218,750.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
