Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 62-02 for the furnishing of property casualty insurance for use countywide; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only responsive bid thereon a bid from FM Global of St. Louis, MO, in the actual amount of $587,244; and,
WHEREAS, the County's Risk Manager thereafter requested a quote with a higher deductible, reducing the bid to $552,000; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends award of the contract to FM Global of St. Louis, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
