Body
WHEREAS, the Mid-America Arts Alliance is a nonprofit regional arts organization established in the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City that has been investing in arts programs and culture in the Jackson County area; and,

WHEREAS, Jackson County issued Request for Proposals 24-047 to help identify an administrator for arts grant funding program; and,

WHEREAS, the Mid-America Arts Institute submitted their proposal via an open RFP process and was selected as the preferred provider; and,

WHEREAS, a twelve-month Cooperative Agreement with two twelve-month options to extend with the Mid-America Arts Alliance for the implementation of an arts grant program for Jackson County at a cost to the County not to exceed $250,000.00 needs to be granted; and,

WHEREAS, the execution of such an agreement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the Cooperative Agreement with the Mid-America Arts Alliance, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the Agreement and Extension.
