INTRODUCED BY Theresa Cass Galvin, Dan Tarwater III, Jalen Anderson, Crystal Williams, Tony Miller, Scott Burnett, Ronald E. Finley, Charlie Franklin, and Jeanie Lauer County Legislators
Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County 4-H, a component part of the University of Missouri Extension Center, is a national youth program that offers hands-on projects in areas such as health, science, agriculture, and civic engagement; and,
WHEREAS, Jackson County 4-H is a positive program in which young people receive guidance from adult mentors who encourage proactive leadership roles; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County 4-H program has five traditional clubs, four project clubs, and three youth futures clubs; and,
WHEREAS, Jackson County 4-H is involved with over 50 area schools, reaching over 5,000 youth; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County 4-H is spending a day at the downtown Courthouse learning about local government and connecting with County Legislators; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby recognizes the Jackson County 4-H and extends best wishes for a successful 4-H Day at the Courthouse event.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
