Body
WHEREAS, the Historic Northeast Restoration Corporation is a community-based economic development corporation chartered in 1993 and is a union between businesses and neighborhood residents committed to the rebirth of the Northeast Kansas City area; and,
WHEREAS, the objectives of the corporation are job creation, economic development, infrastructure renewal, marketing, and promotion; and,
WHEREAS, the Historic Restoration Corporation continues to develop its reputation as a premier provider of entrepreneurship training and ongoing development support, has been designated a Kauffman Partner by the Kauffman Foundation, and is recognized as a partner in the NE FOCUS Center; and,
WHEREAS, the corporation continues to establish key relationships with other non-profit organizations, academic institutions, business associations and government agencies which opens doors to the knowledge and technical assistance necessary for the successful implementation of the programs; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Historic Northeast Restoration Corporation on its 10th anniversary and extends best wishes for continued success in fostering neighborhood development with historic traditions of excellence.
