Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 48-01 for the furnishing of floor mat rental service for use by various County departments; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon, bids from the following:


VENDOR
Walker Towel & Uniform
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Tapco Products Co.
Lenexa, KS

and,

WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be awarded to Walker Towel & Uniform of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid as set forth in the attached recapitulation and analysis; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
