Body
WHEREAS, Section 1040.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,

WHEREAS, Section 1063.00 of the Code requires notification of and approval by the Legislature on such sole source purchases exceeding $5,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends a contract with T-Metrics, Inc., of Charlotte, NC, for the furnishing of a telephone console for use by the Collection Department; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director further recommends that it not take competitive bids with regard to said contract for the reason that T-Metrics, Inc., of Charlotte, NC is the only known supplier of the original model telephone console that is compatible with the County's Plexar telephone system; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Purchasing Director be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County a contract with T-Metrics, Inc., of Charlotte, NC for the furnishing of a telephone console for the Collection Department, in an amount not to exceed $10,500.00; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract thereby made...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
