IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI

AN ORDINANCE appropriating $100,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2005 Health Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement with Swope Ridge Geriatric Center, an outside agency providing public services to County residents, at a cost to the County not to exceed $100,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Legislature deems it to be necessary to appropriate $100,000 for the continuation of services by Swope Ridge Geriatric Center for indigent residents of this County as set forth in the attached proposal; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of an agreement with this outside agency, in the amount indicated, is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2005 Health Fund be and hereby is made:

002-2810 Unappropriated Surplus $100,000
Health Fund
Swope Ridge Geriatric Center
002-7750-6798 Outside Agencies $100,000
and,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an agreement with Swope Ridge Geriatric Center, in the respective amount indicated, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
