WHEREAS, by Resolution14046, dated March 12, 2002, the Legislature authorized a twelve- month term and supply contracts with Infinite Energy Construction, Inc., dba Progress Electric of Grandview, MO, for the furnishing of electrical service for use by various departments countywide in the estimated amount of $75,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, as authorized by the contract, an extension was granted for the period of March 13, 2003 through March 12, 2004 at an increased annual cost of $75,000.00 for a revised total amount of $150,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, as authorized by the contract, the Director of Purchasing recommends an extension to the contract with Infinite Energy Construction, Inc., dba Progress Electric of Grandview, MO, for the period of March 13, 2004, through March 12, 2005; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has recommended an increase to the contract with Infinite Energy Construction, Inc. dba Progress Electric of Grandview, MO, in the estimated annual amount of $446,811.87, for a revised estimated total of $596,811.87; and,
WHEREAS, this increase is necessary to meet higher volume of usage and additional purchases through the extended contract term; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the contract with Infinite Energy Construction, Inc., dba Progress Electric of Grandview, MO, be and hereby is extended until March 12, 2005, at an estimated increased cost to the County of $446,811.87; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the current County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
