Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has been awarded a Victim’s of Crime Act (VOCA) grant in the amount of $277,378.00 by the Missouri Department of Social Services office’s Victim Services Program, for the period of October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, the grant will cover partial funding for the salaries of six victim advocates; and,
WHEREAS, this grant requires local matching funds in the amount of $129,537.00 to cover the unfunded portions of the program; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation and transfer are necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and hereby are made:
