Body
WHEREAS, County taxpayers are constantly seeking information on real estate and recorded documents online; and,
WHEREAS, the Records Department believes in furthering the development of online access to County records; and,
WHEREAS, currently only five years of recorded land document images are obtainable online; and,
WHEREAS, it is a goal of the County to provide effective and efficient online services; and,
WHEREAS, through the purchase of digital scanning equipment, microfilmed land and marriage records dating back to the 1800's can be made digitally accessible to the general public; and,
WHEREAS, the Records Department believes, over a five year period, this digital scanning equipment will allow all records for the past century to be available online; and,
WHEREAS, additionally, all marriage records can be available within the next twelve months; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200383 for the furnishing of the Records Department's requested desk top digital scanners; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon bids from the following:

Imaging Solutions Co. $57,285.00
Wichita, KS
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Imaging Solutions Company of Wichita, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid meeting specifications as set out in the attached recapitulation and analysis; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
