A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a cooperative agreement with the Mid-America Regional Council for its Government Innovations Forum to provide increased efficiency and effectiveness of local government services, at a cost to the County not to exceed $6,000.00.

WHEREAS, the County and MARC desire to enter into a cooperative agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, whereby the County will provide $6,000.00 to MARC to be used for its Government Innovations Forum, an effort by area cities and counties to work cooperatively to study and solve common local government service-delivery issues and problems; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
