Body
WHEREAS, the County desires to purchase telephone equipment for use by the Management Information Systems Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the purchase from Sprint Missouri of Jefferson City, MO, and Inter-Tel Technologies of Columbia, MO, in the estimated aggregate amount of $90,000.00, under existing State of Missouri government contracts nos. C204002001, C900196002, and C002008002; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984 requires, that for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the purchase under the existing government contracts be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contracts to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are included in the current annual budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
