                                                               and Bob Spence,  County Legislators

 

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Department is in possession of certain personnel property that has become excess to the County's needs, specifically one Glock Model 22 handgun, serial no. S-DAN 001US; and,

 

WHEREAS, this weapon has been rendered inoperable and is otherwise unusable; and,

 

 WHEREAS, this weapon, which was formerly assigned to Sheriff James D. Anderson, is of great sentimental value to Sheriff Anderson's family; now therefore,

 

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the above-referenced personal property be and hereby is declared surplus personal property and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of same by way of donation to the family of Sheriff James D. Anderson, as an exception to the disposal procedures specified in chapter 11, Jackson County Code, 1984.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
