Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 52-12 for the furnishing of Lenel Systems hardware and software maintenance and for the purchase, installation, and programming of new security equipment and software for the County's security systems for use by the Information Technology Department; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirty-one notifications were distributed, and one response was received as follows:
TED Systems
Bid Item Shawnee, KS
Annual Lenel Software Maintenance $ 7,009.00
Annual Lenel Hardware Maintenance $25,589.00
Hourly Rate $ 105.00
Overtime Rate $ 157.00
New Equipment 25% plus cost
and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the contract be awarded to TED Systems of Shawnee, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate the County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases being subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
