Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited proposals on Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 1-22 for the furnishing of renovation services, for use by the Public Works Department for improvements to the 10th floor of the Downtown Courthouse; and,
WHEREAS, a total of 150 notifications were distributed and two responses were received and evaluated; and,
WHEREAS, an evaluation committee made up of representatives from the Public Works Department, the Legislature, and the Jackson County Circuit Court evaluated the bids submitted; and,
WHEREAS, following the recommendation of the evaluation committee and pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Directors of Finance and Purchasing and Public Works recommend the award of a contract for the furnishing of the needed renovation services to Rand Construction of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, under the terms and conditions of RFP No. 1-22, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best proposal; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Directors of Finance and Purchasing and Public Works and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
