Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 12778, dated June 21, 1999, the County awarded a term and supply contract for pest control services for use by the Facilities Management Department in the amount of $8,000.00 to Aable Pest Management of Kansas City, MO, to provide for its needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, due to nonperformance by this firm, the Purchasing Director recommends that this contract be rescinded and awarded to the next lower bidder, Gunter Pest Management of Kansas City, MO; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Resolution 12778, dated June 21, 1999, and the contract thereby awarded, be and hereby are rescinded as set out above; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on a need basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with certification made at that time within amounts previously budgeted for the spending agency.
