Body
WHEREAS, for a period of two years the Jackson County Legislature was temporarily displaced from its meeting chambers due to construction at the Jackson County Courthouse Annex; and,
WHEREAS, during that time the Independence City Council and Mayor Ron Stewart allowed the Jackson County Legislature to hold meetings in their chambers area, located on the ground floor of the Independence City Hall; and,
WHEREAS, sincere thanks and appreciation go out to Mayor Stewart and the Independence City Council for two years of faithful courtesy to the Jackson County Legislature; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature expresses sincere thanks and appreciation to the Independence City Council and Mayor Ron Stewart for allowing the use of their chambers area for the past two years.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
