Body
WHEREAS, the Assessment Department is in need of funds to cover the salaries and overtime of the Board of Equalization hearing officers; and,
WHEREAS, funds will be used to cover salaries for the Board of Equalization and salary and overtime costs for eleven hearing officers; and,
WHEREAS, the coverage of the costs of salaries and overtime is for the remainder of the 2023 BOE appeals dockets; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the undesignated fund balance of the 2023 Assessment Fund:
