Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 14866, dated January 12, 2004, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute Agreements with certain organizations which provide assistance to homeless persons, which includes a recommendation for a $50,000 award to the Greater Kansas City Housing Information Center to be distributed as $25,000 in salaries and $25,000 in assistance; and,
WHEREAS, the Greater Kansas City Housing Information Center has requested that the $50,000 award be distributed as $43,000 in salaries and $7,000 in assistance to allow the organization to remain at a full time staff of five and one part time intake person while continuing to provide emergency assistance at the level currently offered; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the contract with the Greater Kansas City Housing Information Center with the revised distribution of $43,000 for salaries and $7,000 for assistance, but otherwise consistent with Resolution 14866 for a total award of $50,000.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
