A RESOLUTION congratulating Charles E. Dumsky on his six years as Mayor of Sugar Creek, Missouri, and wishing him well on his retirement.

Body
WHEREAS, Charles E. Dumsky began his public service career with the City of Sugar Creek by serving as Alderman from 1978 through 1988; and,
WHEREAS, as the fifth mayor of Sugar Creek, Charles E. Dumsky was sworn in on April 6, 1993; and,
WHEREAS, Charles E. Dumsky was actively involved with the Sugar Creek Planning Commission, Friends of Sugar Creek, Economic Development Council, Sugar Creek Fairboard, and Business and Civic Club; and,
WHEREAS, Charles E. Dumsky spent countless hours with the Kansas City and Independence School Boards for the purpose of ensuring a quality education for children in those communities, and was instrumental in bringing back the neighborhood school to the city; and,
WHEREAS, Charles E. Dumsky was dedicated to the task of fair and equal enforcement to improve the quality of housing within the community, and was instrumental in the redevelopment of Amoco property; and,
WHEREAS, admiration, respect, and appreciation go out to Charles E. Dumsky for his dedicated service to the citizens of Sugar Creek, Missouri; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Charles E. Dumsky for his six years as Mayor of Sugar Creek, Missouri, and wishes him success in all future endeavors...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
