Body
WHEREAS, the County recognizes its statutory obligations to the poor under Section 205.580, et. seq. RSMo, and desires to provide service programs for the elderly; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the City of Independence, Parks and Recreations Department, Senior Adult Division desire to enter into a Cooperative Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, whereunder the County will pay the City of Independence $17,725.00 to provide a variety of programs and services for the elderly; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
