Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 31-04 for the furnishing of lumber and building supplies for use by various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, he as received as the only bid thereon, a bid from Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse of Independence, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends that award be made to Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse of Independence, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made to Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse of Independence, MO, in the estimated aggregate amount of $189,000.00 as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
