WHEREAS, by Resolution 14636, dated June 23, 2003, the Legislature authorized a twelve- month term and supply contract with Reddi Services, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, for the furnishing of emergency sewer repair service and public sewer, storm sewer and culvert clean-out service for use by various departments countywide, in the estimated amount of $6,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15111, dated July 26, 2004, the Legislature authorized an increase and twelve-month extension to the term and supply contract with Reddi Services, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, for the furnishing of emergency sewer repair service and public sewer, storm sewer and culvert clean-out service for use by various departments countywide, in the estimated amount of $16,111.50, for a revised total usage of $22,111.50; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has recommended an increase to the contract with Reddi Services, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, in the estimated amount not to exceed $32,425.00, for an revised estimated total not to exceed $54,536.50; and,
WHEREAS, this increase is necessary to meet higher volume of usage and additional purchases through the extended contract term; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the term and supply contract with Reddi Services, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, be and hereby is increased, at an estimated increased cost to the County not to exceed $54,536.50 for the two year contract term; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the current County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
