AN ORDINANCE appropriating $4,875.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2000 General Fund to cover the costs of equipment to be purchased by the Kansas City Election Board.

Body
WHEREAS, in order to make polling areas assessable to the disabled, the Kansas City Board of Election Commissioners recommends the specialized voting devices; and,
WHEREAS, the Board proposes to fund this purchase out of the proceeds of its sales of electronic services, labels, tapes, and maps; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund this purchase an appropriation is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation as an amendment to her 2000 recommended Jackson County budget; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2000 General Fund be and hereby is made:
