A RESOLUTION awarding a term and supply contract on Bid No. 56-01 for the furnishing of lumber and building supplies for use by various County departments to Schutte Lumber of Kansas City, MO ($35,000.00), and Albert Tamm Lumber of Kansas City, MO ($15,000.00), to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period, in the estimated aggregate amount of $50,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 56-01 for the furnishing of lumber and building supplies for use by various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be divided and awarded to the two vendors submitting the overall lowest bids for all items, so as to best ensure the constant availability of all requested supplies and materials; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the following vendors:
VENDOR AWARD
Schutte Lumber $35,000.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Albert Tamm Lumber $15,000.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
