A RESOLUTION requesting Governor Holden return the two Jackson County Sports Complex Authority panels that previous Legislatures had sent to then Governor Carnahan and directing the Clerk of the Legislature to send said Resolution to the Governor within forty-eight hours of its passage.

Body
WHEREAS, prior Legislatures had sent two Jackson County Sports Complex Authority panels to then Governor Carnahan; and,
WHEREAS, Governor Carnahan refused to take action on either panel; and,
WHEREAS, likewise Governor Holden has taken no action on these panels; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of Jackson County that they have currently appointed commission members on the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature requests Governor Bob Holden to return to the County the two previously nominated Sports Complex Authority panels; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature hereby directs the Clerk of the Legislature to send this Resolution requesting return of the panels to Governor Holden within forty-eight hours of its passage.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
