AN ORDINANCE reappropriating $25,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2002 Health Fund, rescinding Resolution 13511, dated January 16, 2001, and authorizing the County Executive to enter into an agreement with the Mid-America Regional Council for the purpose of partially funding certain aging programs of Westport Cooperative Services, Inc., at a cost to the County not to exceed $50,375.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13511, dated January 16, 2001, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an agreement with the Mid-America Regional Council to partially fund certain aging programs of Westport Cooperative Services, Inc; and,
WHEREAS, due to a breakdown in communications between respective staffs, that agreement was never executed; and,
WHEREAS, through the attached Agreement, the County has now agreed to partially fund these programs for calendar years 2001 and 2002; and,
WHEREAS, in order to make this funding available, it is necessary that the unspent funds from 2001 be reappropriated; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this reappropriation as an amendment to her 2002 recommended County budget; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following reappropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2002 Health Fund be and hereby is made:

and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that Resolution 13511, dated January 16, 2001, be and hereby is rescinded; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the Mid America Regional Council; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
