Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200271 for the furnishing of safety equipment for use by the Facilities Management, Parks and Recreation, and Public Works Departments; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that a portion of contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the estimated awards for the respective vendors as follows:

and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends an additional purchase from WW Grainger of Lake Forest, IL, in the estimated amount of $5,000.00, under the State of Missouri's existing Contract No. C100277001; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984 requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriation to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
