A RESOLUTION extending the term of and authorizing an increase to the term and supply contract with Reddi Services, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, in the amount of $16,111.50, for the furnishing of emergency sewer repair service and public sewer, storm sewer and culvert clean-out service for use by various departments countywide at an estimated annual cost of $22,000.00, and a total two-year contract estimated usage of $28,111.50.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 14636, dated June 23, 2003, the Legislature authorized a twelve- month term and supply contract with Reddi Services, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, for the furnishing of emergency sewer repair service and public sewer, storm sewer and culvert clean-out service for use by various departments countywide, in the estimated amount of $6,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, as authorized by the contract, the Director of Purchasing recommends an extension to the contract with Reddi Services, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, for the period of June 23, 2004, through June 22, 2005; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has recommended an increase to the contract with Reddi Services, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, in the estimated annual amount of $16,111.50, for an revised estimated total of $28,111.50; and,
WHEREAS, this increase is necessary to meet higher volume of usage and additional purchases through the extended contract term; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the contract with Reddi Services, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, be and hereby is extended until June 22, 2005, at an estimated increased cost to the County of $28,111.50; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the current County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
