A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a Third Addendum extending a term and supply contract with Thyssen Dover of Lenexa, KS, for the furnishing of elevator maintenance and service for use by the Facilities Management Department extending the term of said contract for an additional one-year term, at an estimated cost to the County of $80,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 12022, dated January 26, 1998, the Legislature approved a term and supply contract with Thyssen Dover of Lenexa, KS, for the furnishing of elevator maintenance and service for use by the Facilities Management Department; and,
WHEREAS, by First Addendum to Agreement dated January 1, 1999, and Second Addendum to Agreement dated September 17, 1999, the terms of said contract were extended; and,
WHEREAS, the County desires to further extend said contract by extending the date of the contract at an additional cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Third Addendum to Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to effect this extension; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the attached Third Addendum to Agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are included in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
