Body
WHEREAS, Section 1040.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1063.00 of the Code requires notification of and approval by the Legislature on such sole source purchases exceeding $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends a contract with Dynamic Computer Solutions of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, for the furnishing of toner cartridges for microfilm equipment for use by the Department of Records; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director further recommends that he not take competitive bids with regard to said contract for the reason that Dynamic Computer Solutions of Kansas City, MO, is the only known local supplier of toner cartridges for the County's microfilm equipment; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that award be made to Dynamic Computer Solutions of Kansas City, MO, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00, as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County a contract with Dynamic Computer Solutions of Kansas City, MO; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
