IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
A RESOLUTION awarding twelve-month term and supply contracts for the purchase of miscellaneous computer hardware & software for use by the MIS Department, under the State of Missouri's Contract No. C200100001, to World Wide Technology, Inc., of St. Louis, Missouri ($346,800.00); the State of New Mexico's Contract No. 9X-00151 to Compaq Computer Corporation of Houston, TX ($156,500.00), Dell Marketing, LLP, of Dallas, TX ($30,000.00), and Gateway, Inc., of North Sioux City, SD ($10,000.00); and the City of Kansas City, Missouri's Contract No. PA4027-02, to Midwest Technology Connection of Kansas City, MO ($45,000.00), to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period, in the estimated aggregate amount of $588,300.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the County desires to purchase miscellaneous computer hardware & software for use by the MIS Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends purchases from World Wide Technology, Inc., of St. Louis, Missouri, under the State of Missouri's existing Contract No. C200100001 ($346,800.00); Compaq Computer Corporation of Houston, TX ($156,500.00), Dell Marketing, LLP, of Dallas, TX ($30,000.00), and Gateway, Inc., of North Sioux City, SD ($10,000.00), under the State of New Mexico's existing Contract No.9X-00151; and Midwest Technology Connection of Kansas City, MO, under the City of Kansas City, Missouri's existing Contract No. PA4027-02 ($45,000.00); and,
WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984 requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent that sufficient appropriation to the using spending agency has heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
