A RESOLUTION rescinding Resolution 13040, dated January 24, 2000, and authorizing the County Executive to execute a contract with Black Chamber of Commerce, for funding of certain programs to assist minority contractors, at a cost to the County not to exceed $25,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the County and Black Chamber of Commerce, desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, whereunder the County will pay $25,000.00 to Black Chamber of Commerce, to be used to help fund certain programs to assist minority contractors; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution 13040, dated January 24, 2000, which had authorized a previous contract with the Black Chamber of Commerce which is now no longer necessary, be and hereby is rescinded.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
