Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13944, dated December 10, 2001, the County Legislature authorized the County Executive to execute an Agreement with Newhouse to provide services to assist homeless persons in the amount of $10,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3316, dated November 25, 2002, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute a First Addendum to agreement to provide additional services to assist homeless persons, at an increased cost to the County of $10,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 14579, dated April 28, 2003, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute a Second Addendum to agreement to provide additional services to assist homeless persons, at an increased cost to the County of $10,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the parties have determined that Newhouse is able to provide additional housing services for homeless persons, at an increased cost to the County of $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Third Addendum to Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the agreement and understanding of the parties; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2003 Homeless Fund:
