Body
WHEREAS, the ArtsKC is a nonprofit regional arts organization established in the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City that has been investing in arts programs and culture in the Jackson County area; and,
WHEREAS, ArtsKC was identified as an administrator for arts grant funding program; and,
WHEREAS, a twelve-month Cooperative Agreement with two twelve-month options to extend with the ArtsKC for the implementation of an arts grant program for Jackson County at a cost to the County not to exceed $250,000.00 needs to be granted; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of such an agreement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the Cooperative Agreement with the ArtsKC, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the Agreement and Extension.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
