IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI

A RESOLUTION awarding a term and supply contract on Bid No. 66-02 for the furnishing of carpentry and construction services for use by various County departments to Brunn-Ulmer Construction Co., of Kansas City, KS, to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period, in the estimated amount of $175,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 66-02 for the furnishing of carpentry and construction services for use by various County departments to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following:
VENDOR
Brunn-Ulmer Construction Co.
Kansas City, KS
E. J. Cody Company, Inc.
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
N.W. Rogers Construction, Inc.
Blue Springs (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Brunn-Ulmer Construction Co. of Kansas City, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid as is more fully set out in the attached recapitulation; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on a need basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with certification made at that time within amounts previously budgeted for the spending agency.
