Mann of Kansas City, KS, for the furnishing, installation, and recycling of carpet for use by various departments countywide at a total estimated cost of $402,316.56.

Body

WHEREAS, by Resolution 14682, dated July 28, 2003, the Legislature authorized twelve- month term and supply contracts with R. D. Mann of Kansas City, KS, for the furnishing, installation, and recycling of carpet for use by various departments countywide in the estimated amount of $80,000.00; and,

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

WHEREAS, as authorized by the contract, the Director of Purchasing recommends an extension to the contract with R. D. Mann of Kansas City, KS, for the period of August 5, 2004 through August 4, 2005; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has recommended an increase to the contract with R. D. Mann of Kansas City, KS,  in the estimated annual amount of $322,316.56, for an revised estimated total of $402,316.56; and,

 

WHEREAS, this increase is necessary to meet higher volume of usage and additional purchases through the extended contract term; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the contract with R. D. Mann of Kansas City, KS, be and hereby is extended until August 4, 2005, at an estimated increased cost to the County of $322,316.56; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the current County budget.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
