Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 11896, dated September 29, 1997, the Legislature did award a three-year contract for the furnishing of excess workers' compensation and employer's liability insurance coverage to Corporate Insurance Group of Shawnee Mission, KS, at the rate of $.0428 per $100 of payroll; and,
WHEREAS, Corporate Insurance Group has offered to extend this coverage for a three-year renewal term at the same rate; and,
WHEREAS, the Personnel Director recommends this extension; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the contract be extended as recommended by the Personnel Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the extension; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
