Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing, pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the award of a contract for the furnishing of auction services for use by the Purchasing Department in the disposal of surplus property, to Nationwide Auction System of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, under an existing Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas government contract, no. 21-011; and,
WHEREAS, under the proposed contract, the vendor would be paid out of the proceeds of any auction actually conducted in a total amount that cannot be estimated accurately at this time; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award under the existing government contract be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, out of the proceeds of any auctions conducted.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
