Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 14938, dated March 8, 2004, the Legislature did award a contract for geographic information systems (GIS) software, including ArcGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise, Online Viewer, Online Creator, and other ArcGIS licenses for use by the Information Technology Department Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc., (ESRI) of Redlands, CA, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $145,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, the County has annually contracted since that time with ESRI for annual maintenance of its proprietary GIS software, as a sole source; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the continuing purchase of GIS software maintenance and licenses from ESRI, as a sole source purchase; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Directors of Finance and Purchasing and Information Technology and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are available in the then current Jackson County budget.
